Drilling for new locks

All entrance doors should have a deadbolt for added security. If any of yours do not, we can drill a new hole and prep the door and frame for a deadbolt.

Entrance locks

Entrance function means that the lock requires a key from the outside, and has a selector on the inside to set the function of the lock (to be either locked or unlocked). Any exterior lock is an entrance lock, but not necessarily entrance function. If you have an electronic deadbolt, you'll likely opt for a passage lock for the bottom.

Deadbolt locks

Deadbolt locks provide superior protection to the spring loaded knob, lever, and handle locks. The 1" bolt extends and locks in place to secure the door.

Bathroom locks

These are privacy function locks. You can lock them from the inside, but you'll need a small pin or screwdriver to unlock in from the outside, in emergencies.

Bedroom locks

Bedroom locks can be passage, privacy, or entrance function, depending on your needs. A child's room would typically be passage, as you don't want that door to lock. If you're renting a room in someone else's house, you will likely want an entrance lock with a key, and perhaps even a deadbolt as well.

Closet locks

Hall and Closet locks don't typically lock. The have a latch and a means to retract it, but their purpose is just to keep the door closed.

Mailbox locks

If you've just moved in, or are having difficulties with your existing mailbox lock, we can replace it. Just like any other lock, you want sole control and smooth operation.
